My House. My Money. Who Makes the Rules?

I bought the house.

Then I wanted to do three completely normal things:

Screen my lanai. Put up a fence. Plant a tree.

Simple, right?

That’s when I discovered the difference between owning the property and being able to do everything you imagine with it.

And it made me think about how we shop for homes.

A big backyard isn't enough if you can't use it the way you planned.

No HOA doesn't automatically mean no rules.

And sometimes the most important question isn't:

“Can I do this?”

It’s:

“Can I do THIS, HERE?”

I turned what happened with my own house into this week's episode — including what I learned and what I now want my buyers to think about before they buy.
